Providing freelance graphic design, production and illustration to various establishments
including book publishing, non-for-profit and educational programs: includes
Weeksville Heritage Center, Hamilton Stone Press, The Network Journal Magazine
and Ubuntu Educational Fund.
2006-Present
Weeksville Heritage Center (Museum): Brooklyn, New York: Graphic designer/ Instructor: by contract
Teaching students within Brooklyn based schools, ages 8-18, in programs held during and
after-school developing zines (teen formated magazine), posters reflect the Big Read iniative,
and conducting workshops. Much work included involved training students to write, design
and learn graphic design computer programs. Services also include designing collateral
and booklets for the related events.
2004-2007
Groundswell Community Mural Project: Brooklyn, New York: Muralist/ Instructor: by contract/ seasonal
Teaching children, ages 15-19, for 7 weeks during the summer in Brooklyn, NY.
We developed mural designs with youth and community-based organizations which
involved training summer youth to draw, design and work with others.
*Fall 2005: Returned back to school for my MA in Illustration.
2001-2005
Rush Philanthropic: Phat Farm, New York, New York: 3D Designer Instructor: by contract/ seasonal
Teaching children, ages 8-12, in a five week Saturday morning Visual Arts Mentorship
program introducing 3D design through a series of projects investigating various concepts.
2001-2003
T.R. Nimen Inc.: New York, New York: Graphic Designer: fulltime
Created themed promotion logos, collateral and websites for annual events.
Developed identities and corporate signatures for emerging companies and not-for-profits.
Created print production specifications for estimates, participated in project trafficking
and maintained jobjackets including organization of photography, illustration, digital art,
and company archives. Participated in print production including color/halftone separation,
choosing paper, on-press supervision, and print production follow-up tasks.

Taught children, ages 8-12 the elements of design in a four-week program at the
Beginning With Children School in Queens, New York.
